Dear stranger!
I want
to tell you about my birthplace, where I was born, I live and I study...
The
ancient Vladimir region, is well-known it is much written about it, told, but I
will tell you about a small town of
Alexandrov.
You
will easily find it jn
a map if you look at the northeast
from Moscow. Yes, it is Alexsandrov. Very long
time ago it
was possible to reach
Alexandrovskaya Sloboda from Moscow not
less than for two days
along the Big
Slobodsraya road.Now, getting you
an electric train at the Yaroslavl station in two hours you will arrive at our
place, well, here you at us on a visit... We meet you at the station...
Many important events are connected with it. Right here, from
the railway station, to
protect the Native land against enemies Alexandrov people both during the war civil, and the
Great Patriotic War. Here went to the front
in the thirties inhabitants of our town with delight
and pride met O.J. Shmidt and
other heroes - chelyuskintsev.
In the
post - war years our
grandparents, great - grandmothers, great - grandfathers went to cultivate
virgin lands, to build the Baykalo-Amur
Magistral and other important buildings. Here, you can see the Eternal
fire, the symbol of military glory and noble memory. I like to visit this place which reminds me a
lot from the past.
From
here, from Komsomol skaya Square street - the central town street
starts. Well, we will go further... Excuse me, dear stranger, but our roads...
are terrible, probably, as bad as during Ivan the Terrible's rein, yes
that Ivan the Terrible... In December evening 1564 people from Sloboda saw
the big tsar procession coming from Moscow, hiding from mutines, the tsar settled in
Alexandrova Sloboda. Soon this summer
residence was transformed to constant imperial residence, oprichnina
center. For about 20 years this settlement became the capital of Russia. So let's go to the
Alexandrov Kremlin without delaing. I'm
proud of this
historic fact:
my birthplace was famous in different countries.
On
a high bank of the
Seraya River ( now it is
more like a swamp, it's nice,
Ivan the Terrible couldn't see it ) there are
round domes churches, temples and towers with spirals and
peaked spikes. Here, behind high and thick walls, the oldest ancient monuments,
the certifir cate of great archtecture, the genius of
Russian people have remained. In 1576 a printer Andronik
Timofeyevich Nevezha organized a printing house according to the
tsar's. The old books can tell us
about the life of Ivan the Terrible,
his marriges and tragic episodes in his
family: death of his wives and son, about
his battles and wars. As for
me, I want to leave you here
for some time... to understand
and feel the magic time, the
time of past. These churches, temples and huge trees remember and can tell you many
intresting story very long time ago, better, than I...
I
notice, my dear stranger, you have
become silent and thoughful. Therefore I suggest to take a walk simply throught
our town. We will cross the bridge rise
to the Pervushin's museum. It's really very attractive. We will go
to the park
and admire the silence and the view of the town. We will keep sillent
watching the sight: golden domes, green
trees. I thinkthat visiting this place can help you to forget all the
probkems feel good.
And
now, my stranger, we will go to
our school, the greatest
one in the town, where many smart
children study. It is an English language specialized school. I love it,
because it gives me great knowledge.
Well, it's time to leave, but I
hope, we don't say "goodbye"... Come to us next time, I think that we
will repair roads, we will
clean the river and streets and we will plant trees and flowers. And our
majistic town, my birthplace will shine in the sun, getting respect love from
the citizens.
I
will wait for you, dear stranger, I still have much to tell you.
See you
soon.
Take care.
Love, Ann.
