"I Love My Birthplace”.

I was born in Russia. I live in this country and I love it very much. As for me, my birthplace is  my native land in the true sense of words and I’d like to tell you about my country right now. Russia is the largest country all over the world. For example, a flight from Moscow to Magadan takes eight hours. There is a big variety of nature here: deserts, tundra, taiga and others. A lot of mountains and plains are in our country. Bowels of lands are rich in mineral resources. There are all kinds of mineral resources in Russia: gold, gas, oil and others. A lot of rivers flow through the territory of Russia and there are also a lot of lakes in the country. The largest one is Baikal. A cruel climate and a harsh history have made Russians stability and to avoid the risk.

 My birthplace is the country of  art. Many famous painters who lived and worked in Russia kept the treasure of their masterpieces. There are Vasnetsov, Vrubel and Levitan. You can see the pictures of these painters in the Hermitage and in the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg and in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. My country is associated with such famous names as Pushkin, Lermontov, Gogol, Solzhenitsyn, Rasputin and Pasternak who achieved great success in Russian literature and reading all over the world.

My country is the place with a lot of nice houses, old and modern monuments and beautiful parks. Russia is proud of its architecture, painting and music. A lot of tourists visit Russia in order to see its beauty and to admire its cultural achievements. As a rule they want to visit St. Petersburg, towns of the "Golden Ring” and of course the capital of Russia – Moscow. It’s one of the most beautiful cities all over the world. All people should visit Red Square and see the Kremlin. The Kremlin Clock is the oldest one in Moscow. Tourists want to see the Bolshoi Theatre because it’s the best theatre in the world.

I think that everyone who lives in Russia love it and be proud of it. In my opinion the words "my birthplace” mean for every person the huge love and the sense of patriotism to his native country. Nowadays more and more Russian people would like leave their birthplace because of some reasons Russia has difficulties in connection with the transition to another economic system. Due to this fact there are a lot of financial problems, which cause a lot of serious difficulties in the life of Russian people. The low level of wages make young generation to leave Russia in order to look for better conditions. It’s a real problem for the development and the status of my country.

 But words "my birthplace” also mean the sincere love to the cities, the towns or the villages where a person was born in the narrow sense of words. The meaning of the words a small homeland includes such things as: schools, a class, a family or a company of friends. It often happens when a person has a huge love to native land and so do I. As for me, I live in a small ancient town called Vladimir, which is included into the list towns of the "Golden Ring”. In the 12^th -15^th centuries Vladimir was the capital of Russ. I love my town because it has the richest history, the beautiful nature and good places for relaxing. I think that my town is unusual and unique and in my opinion one of the best in Russia. Vladimir is 1000 years old. My town surrounded by the villages, monasteries and churches it stands on the highest place of the small hill on the Klyazma river. A lot of historical masterpieces such as: the Golden Gates, the Assumption Cathedral,  St. Demetrius Cathedral and other beautiful monuments are situated in my native town. They admire the tourists and the citizens of our town. You can see the walls and icons, painted by Andrei Rublev in the Assumption Cathedral. Especially I love the historical centre, where old and modern buildings blend with each other. I always spend a good time when I’m in the centre of Vladimir. For example, I often walk in the Pushkin park with my friends or go to the shopping centre. I made a lot of photos next to the Golden Gates because I love them. Besides, the Golden Gates is the main cultural achievement in Vladimir. This masterpiece withstanded the onslaught of the horde of Batu Khan. Nowadays the Golden Gate is a military-historical exposition. I am proud of my native town because I was born here and I am a real patriot of my birthplace.
