I Love My Birthplace.

My name is PolinaBistrova. I was born on the 23-rd of May,1997 in Vladimir.

It is a very beautiful,but not very big town. It is an ancient Russian town, which was founded in 995 by Russian Prince Vladimir the Red Sun. Our town is the Motherland of white stone architecture. You can see these monuments now. Who doesn’t know the famous Assumption Cathedral, St. Demetrius Cathedral. They are really beautiful. Thousands of tourists come to Vladimir to see its beautiful sights and museums every year .I’m veryproud of my native town and like it very much.

I live in Vladimir with my family. It consists of four people. My father’s name is AlekseyVladimirovich . He is 51, but he looks much younger . He is a driver. He is sociable, creative and responsible. My mother’s name is NataliyaNikolaevna. She is 41. She is a housewife. She is very kind , nice and cooks very well.My younger sister is 9 years old. Her name is Nastya. She goes to school. I love her very much, but sometimes we don’t understand each other. She is found of music. She plays the piano and sings songs very well.I enjoy spending time with my family very much. We often go for a walk, watch TV, go to the cinema and  we like to travel in summer. We prefer travelling by car.I think it’s more convenient because you don’t buy tickets, you can stop any place and spend as much time as you like.   We get on well with each other. I love my family.

We live in a nice flat in a new block of flats. Our flat is on the second floor. We  have all modern conveniences: central heating, gas, electricity, running water and hot water. There are three rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a hall in our flat. I have my own room. It`s very nice and cosy. There isn`t much furniture in it. I do my homework and sleep there. I like  my room very much. When my friends come to visit me, I invite them into my room.

I have a lot of friends, but I have only one close friend. Her name is Marina. We have been friends since childhood. We have much in common. Many of friends are my classmates. We spend much time together, go for a walk, talk about our lessons and discuss our problems.

I am a pupil of the 9-th form. I study at school number 43. We have many good teachers.  I go to school six  days a week. Our classes start at 8 o’clock a.m., so I have six or seven lessons a day. I have many different subjects: Russian, English, Literature, Geography, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics ,Computer technology. I try to be a good pupil.  I am good at all subjects. I like my school, my classmates and my teachers. My favourite subject is Physical education, because I like sport.

I go in for sports, I like playing basketball .  Sport is an important part of my life. Many of my friends go in for sports walking, swimming, skating and skiing. I have been playing basketball for four years. My best friend plays basketball too. We have already taken part in different sport competitions.

I am very proud of my native town.I love my family, my friends and everything around me.
