The Place Where I Feel Like At Home.
I would like to
tell you about my school, school №6. It is the dearest place for most of people
living in our district. My school is not new, it is not very big and not very
beautiful, to tell the truth. But for me, it is the best place to study on
Earth, because the atmosphere here is friendly and homelike.
Most of pupils’
parents and even grandparents are its former schoolchildren and the teachers of
our school still remember all of them. My mother studded at it too and I try
not to spoil her reputation, because she was one of the best pupils of our
school.
My school has a
very interesting history. It was a simple one storey building for children of
primary school at the beginning. Then a two-storey building was constructed.
Some years later a new modern school, three storeyed, was built. It was a
large, very comfortable and very beautiful one. How happy were the pupils to
move to the new school! It happened 40 years ago. Our school was one of the
best schools in Alexandrov. Its Head Teachers, M.V. Shamagin, B.U. Khrapov,
T.A. Shoovaeva did a lot for it.
The School life
of pupils was very interesting that time. They celebrated a lot of holidays
together, arranged festivals and sports competitions, went hiking. Every year
delegations from Czechoslovakia visited our school. A lot of pupils of school №6
had pen friends from that country. Schoolchildren liked to travel very much.
They visited every corner of our great country!
The librarian of
our school, Konstenchik N.B. did much to help pupils to understand literature,
art and history. Nina Borisovna organized very interesting readers’
conferences, contests of reciters and lectures about Russian writers.
Or school started
the action "School leaver, what has happened to you?” It helped to keep the
link between the generations of former and present pupils.
Many things have
changed since that time. Now our school has a new name. It is not school №6
anymore, but it is school №3. It has got a new Head Teacher – Aleikina E.A. But
the atmosphere of it hasn’t changed. It still remains for us a place where we
can not only get knowledge, but communicate with friends, discuss problems with
teachers and take part in afterschool activities. Excellent teachers still work
here and they are always ready to share their experience and knowledge with us.
We can see
beautiful tall trees around our school which were planted by the school leavers
about 25 years ago. Young mothers with their children come to our school yard
to play together. These women studied here too. When I was little, I came to
play in the school yard with my parents and friends too. Some things don’t
change!
You see that the
pupils’ lives are connected with our school very much. Most of us live not far
from it. Some of our teachers live near too, so we meet in the streets very
often and know much about each other. It gives us the feeling of a real family.
Sometimes it is not very easy to have so many relatives at school!
I feel that I’m
a part of this place, that I belong to it. I love my school and respect my
teachers. Whatever happens to me, I’m sure I will never forget my schoolmates
and teachers. And I hope, my children will study in it and love our school as I
do.
