I Love My Birthplace
Adults are
always trying to instill their children the love for homeland. Someone may ask:
"Why should I like the place, where I was born?” I believe that a human should
love his native town and country not for their wealth or fame, but just from
the soil. I can tell you, that I’m proud of my country, because there is
wonderful nature, rich history and great people here. But if it was not so, I
would still love Russia, just because I was born there and have spend 16 years
of my life here.
I live in an
ancient town called Vladimir. There are no large shopping centers, tall
buildings or noisy roads. But I like, that the air is really fresh, and
sometimes there is not anybody on the street. It is especially great to walk on
deserted streets early in the morning, enjoying the cool air and singing birds.
Also in the
center of my town there is observation platform, which offers breathtaking view
of the town and the river Klyazma. You can stand there for hours motionless and
admire the nature.
There are
different people in our town: kind and cruel, funny and sad, clever and silly.
But I know a lot of generous and nice people, so I hope that most of the people
in our city are like them.
Vladimir is a
very ancient town; it played an important role in the history of Rus. There are
many architectural monuments of that time in my city. All of them brings light
and inspiration.
Of course, I’ll
go to other cities and countries, but I’ll never be able to feel so
comfortable, as in my native town.
