My
Native Country.
As all Russian people, I love my country, but what do
I love it for? Not everyone can answer this question.
As for me, Russia is the place where I has born, was
grown up, live now. It’s the river where I and my friends liked to swim when we
were small children. Russia is the land which history my grandparents and
parents has been telling me since my childhood. To tell the truth, I can’t
explain why I love my country. Probably, I love it for its peculiar nature, for
its special ecosystem with long rivers, fresh springs, fields and meadows, which
have no visible ends. How great is it to get up early in the morning and to go
fishing to your favourite place by the river! You can sit in silence, have a
rest and try to understand the beauty of the place your heart belongs to, the
importance of the little spot in the map, where you and your people were born.
Many Russian writers tried to inspire the people of our
country to love their Motherland. But our compatriot K.G. Paustovsky, who had
unlimited love for Russia, believed that it’s impossible to love our country
trying to find reasons for this love. I agree with him, because I’m sure that
we should love the native place with all our hearts and with pure unspoilt soul
like babies love their mothers. I’m sure that it is impossible to learn how to
love your country. No textbooks help us to do it. This feeling is something you
were born with, it is in the air you breathe, in the water you drink, in the
nature you can see around.
In my opinion, nobody can love Motherland more than
Russian people do. It is this love that gives them force and energy to cope
with difficulties, to fight enemies, to help people of different nationalities.
I hope that it will always be the same in the future. Nobody can express the
feeling we have for our country. It is something we must understand without
words. This feeling will be in our hearts forever, no matter what happens to us
and how our life changes. 11 класс, г. Александров, школа №3, Курочкин Антон
