My Motherland is a great country and a small village in this country is my Motherland too. Russia is one of the largest countries in the world. It occupies about one-seventh of the world`s total land mass.

I was very pleased to get your letter. It’s great that our cities is the sister cities! You know I like to travel. If we are fond of travelling we see and learn all sorts of things we can never see or learn at home. I was very interested to learn about Canterbury. It will be great to visit this small ancient city.

Most beloved city, village, region is a place where a person was born and spent so much time.
Most favorite city is where people spent his childhood, because as a child, most people have very good memories. No matter how old a man, he always remembers some things from his childhood, and with them the places where they occur. And it’s city not a capital, a city-millionaire. He can be quiet, deserted city, and at the same time most favorite city because it involves a lot of pleasant experiences.

Once upon a time there was a little girl in an old Russian city. The city stood on the high bank of the beautiful river. There were wooden houses, old churches and beautiful cathedrals in that city. It was surrounded by earthen shaft and water ditch. There were seven gates in the city but the main one was the Golden Gate.

 I was born is Moscow, Russia. But I spent all my childhood in Suzdal. That‘s why Suzdal is my second birthplace.

Suzdal is the land of my ancestors. It is the birthplace of my great-grandfather, who perished in the Second World War. In Suzdal he was the first tractor driver among women in the30th years of the 20th century.

My name is Nikita. I am in the 5th grade. I was born in Vladimir, a small city on the bank of the river Klyazma. Vladimir is a beautiful old Russian city with a long history. Vladimir was founded in 1108 by Vladimir Monomach. In the 12th century Vladimir was the capital of Rus. Vladimir has a lot of sights. The most popular sight is a Golden Gate, a rave monument of old Russian architecture. The Golden Gate, built in the 12th century, were once part of the Vladimir defences. Now they are situated in the city’s centre. On the high hill over the Klyazma we can see the Cathedral of Dormition and the cathedral of St. Demetrius.

               My birthplace is Vladimir. I love this town very much. It is small, very beautiful and interesting city.  There are many churches, museums and monuments. I want to tell you about it.

               One of my favorite places is Pushkin Park which is located near the Cathedral Square. In the evening, when the sun just starts to weaken, I can see a fantastic view of the river Klyazma, the wonderful Assumption Cathedral. The park becomes a mysterious and fascinating. At this time, I like to take pictures of this a wonderful place.

I live in Vladimir region. It is situated in the Central Federal District. Vladimir region includes 16 wards, 22 towns, 37 urban villages. Some towns are the part of The Golden Ring of Russia. Vladimir is the administrative centre. Vladimir region occupies a large territory of about 129 thousand square kilometers. The population is more than one million and a half. Vladimir region borders on Ivanovo, Moscow, Yaroslavl, Ryazan and Nizhny Novgorod regions.

  Everyone human has got own motherland. Motherland can be a huge country, a small town, and even village. Many people are trying to help his motherland, refine it, make it more comfortable and beautiful.

  My motherland is town Vladimir. It is a quiet, old and beautiful city that's just situated in the hilly area, on the river Klyazma. Vladimir has got a lot of old monuments and memorials of architecture. The most famous of them is the Uspensky Cathedral, Demetrius Cathedral, the Golden Gate  and the Church of Archangel Michael. This is a very beautiful building that was built Vladimir masters. And I'm proud of our ancestors who built those cathedrals and churches, praising our town around the world. My town has got very rich history. Once upon a time Vladimir was the capital of Russia, an important trading and political center.
