My name is Julia. I live in the town of Alexandrov.

           It has a very interesting history. In the sixteenth century Alexandrov was very important.              Now Alexandrov is a town of Russia’s Golden Ring. Tourists from different places like to visit it very much. We have a lot of monuments and historical places. There is Alexandrov’s Sloboda with many churches and a museum in our town. It is a very famous museum, with the buildings where Ivan the Terrible lived. I like Alexandrov’s Sloboda very much. There are interesting excursions there. My friend and I visit it every year.

Russia is my mother  land. I think it is a unique country.

In area, it is one of largest countries in the world now. Russia is washed by twelve seas and three oceans. There are a lot of forests, deserts, mountains. There are different types of climate on the territory of Russia.

Vladimir… There is the city of great history, beautiful cathedrals and mix of antiquity and modernity. I love Vladimir and I think it’s a fortune to born here.

     Vladimir was founded on river Klyazma in 1108 by Vladimir Monomakh. In 1157 Vladimir was being a capital of Rus. The Assumption Cathedral, the Dmitrievsky Cathedral, the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl and Golden Gates (symbol of my town) were built in Vladimir in that time. These buildings are wonderful because Russian people’s heart was put in them. I feel the incredible pride when I’m near these majestic sights.

My name is PolinaBistrova. I was born on the 23-rd of May,1997 in Vladimir.

It is a very beautiful,but not very big town. It is an ancient Russian town, which was founded in 995 by Russian Prince Vladimir the Red Sun. Our town is the Motherland of white stone architecture. You can see these monuments now. Who doesn’t know the famous Assumption Cathedral, St. Demetrius Cathedral. They are really beautiful. Thousands of tourists come to Vladimir to see its beautiful sights and museums every year .I’m veryproud of my native town and like it very much.

I am sure that every person has a place on the Earth which he likes and which he is proud of. I like to travel very much. I have already been to many Russian and foreign cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sergiev Posad , Side, Alaniya, Dubai and some others. But for me there is one special place, which I love most of all. It is Alexandrov, a city, where I have been living for 12 years of my life. I enjoy my school, my house, the Dichkovskoe Lake, Chugunny Bridge, the shopping center "Sasha”, the entertaining center "Saturn”, the "Record” stadium, "Sosenki” and many other places, which can be found only in Alexandrov.

What does the world "birthplace" mean? If we look for its meaning in the definition dictionary, so there we will find the following: «Birthplace is a place, where a person was born, so a place of birth. » It means that each person has his or her birthplace, which he or she cannot choose as nobody can choose a mother. There are a lot of people, who leave their native town for many reasons, but continue to be their favourite place. In my opinion a person can be called «the worthy son» of his motherland only in that case, if he does something for its development. I also consider that people cannot demand from their native place anything more, than it is able to give them.

          The ancient Vladimir region, is well-known it is much written about it, told, but I will tell you about  a small town of Alexandrov.

          You will easily find  it  jn  a  map if  you look at the  northeast  from Moscow. Yes, it is Alexsandrov. Very  long  time  ago  it  was  possible to reach Alexandrovskaya Sloboda from Moscow not  less  than  for two days  along  the  Big  Slobodsraya  road.Now, getting you an electric train at the Yaroslavl station in two hours you will arrive at our place, well, here you at us on a visit... We meet you at the station...

I am Russian. Russia is my birthplace. Russia is the largest country in the world. Its total area is about 17 million square kilometres.
It is washed by 12 seas and three oceans. There are about two million rivers in Russia. The biggest river of Europe is the Volga. Russia is rich in lakes. The deepest lake of the world the Baikal is also situated in our country. The water in the lake is so clear  that if you look down you can count the stones on the bottom.
On the territory of the country there are various types of climate from the arctic in the north to the tropical in the south.
