I like it because I have a grandma and a grandpa
and other relatives there. Else I like it because in summer I can eat fresh
fruit and vegetables there.
As soon as I
have heard a composition theme, in a head there were thoughts: "Oh, to
write about stories of Kurlovo, about its founder …” But then has thought that
"Kurlovo" or "History of Kurlovo”. The theme sounds absolutely
differently.
It was an
unusually hot summer day. The sun shone too much brightly, that made passers-by
squint and hide in the shadows in a search of the saving coolness. It seemed
that only one man was completely satisfied with such weather: he nestled on a
park bench under an old tree sipping mineral water from a bottle. The man was
watching people around him with a great interest. He realized that a lot had
changed since his childhood, even the city itself.
I'd
like to tell you about the town where I was born and has grown up. Some people
do not value the place where they live and wish to move to the capital rushing
to the well-to-do and comfortable life. As for me, I
enjoy my town Vladimir, its shadow by-streets, white stone cathedrals,
monuments of the past. My town is located on the high left bank of the Klyazma
river. It is buried in the verdure ofthe trees with the golden cupolas of the
churches. You can see a lot of interesting things when you go along the small
streets and big wide boulevards. Every street, every turning, every house hide
a mystery which you want to guess. You see, they tell you about the fates of
the citizens in my ancient town of Vladimir.
Motherland.
It is an extremely warm and kind heart word. Every person finds his own meaning
in the word "motherland”. For some people it is the place where he was born,
for the other people it is the land of ancestors, for the third it is the place
where he was formedas a personality,
had the first idea about kindness and harm, learned to enjoy the nature and
people, felt his importance, unique position in the life.
What
is the notion of "motherland” connected for me with? It provokes different
associations, images, recollection.
I enjoy travelling. What a pleasure is to take a train and to
rush into the unknown. So I found myself in a small village of Nekludovo. The
village seems to be nothing remarkable (so is throughout Russia, and the name
it dims down).
Let me first tell you some words about the history of
my native town. Vladimir was founded by the Russian Prince Vladimir Monomakh on
the banks of the Kliazma river. The city of Vladimir really blossomed in the
12th century during the reign of Prince Andrey Bogolubsky, who strengthened its
independence, welcomed architects, icon-painters, jewellers from other
countries, built new palaces and churches so magnificent that travelers
compaired them with the ones in the "mother of all Russian cities"-
Kiev. Until the middle of 14th century the city had been an administrative,
cultural and religious center for North-Eastern Russia. During the Mongol
invasion in the 13th century Vladimir was besieged, looted and almost totally
destroyed. But thanks to the deeds of the local population the city was
restored and now the city is a capital of the Vladimir province.
Birthplace… this word means
something special for every person. Some people think that the motherland is
the country where a man was born; others think that it is a native town,
village or even a home. But what combines all people is that the definition
‘birthplace’ is associated with something warm, bright and close. To my mind,
the birthplace is at first my native village, where I have lived for all my
life.
My name is Yaroslav. I am 14. I am
the pupil of the 8th form. My school number is 21. It is situated in
Mir Street.
I have been living in Vladimir
since my birthday. I am a very happy boy. I have got a mother, a father, two
grannies and my elder brother. They all love me and of course I love them, too.
What do I love my Motherland for? Anyone can
find an answer to this question, but everyone answers it in his own way.
My Motherland is Russia which is renowned for
its beauty ofnature. In my opinion
Russia is the most picturesque corner of the world. Endless lands expand here.
I think Russia has all the diversity and charm thatnature can give. There are many wonderful,
picturesque rivers, running for hundreds of kilometres, high hills and
mountains, and endless forests. What else can one see here? There are lots of
amazingly beautiful places. Vast green meadows and fields with flowers, pine
woods and mixed forests of birch trees
and groves of oaks. There are many forest lakes, too. In our forests, where it
is so quiet, calm andmagic, you can hear a nightingale and other birds
singing. But it is not always so quiet in a wood. When a strong wind rises or a
storm begins, forests make noises like a great ocean, and trees crack and even
bend to the earth. You can see all kinds of beauty of nature in Russia.
