For every person his birth place means a lot. For one it is a family, for another it is a country, but for me it is my native town. The name of this town is Baikonur. I was born there and it tookthebiggest part in my heart.

Baikonur is a young town. It was built in 1955. The first settlers were military people. They lived under very difficult conditions: severe climate, tents instead of houses, bad water.

But in spite of all these hardships the first in the world artificial sputnik, the first man from the Earth Yuri Gagarin and other astronauts were launched into space from this land.

Love for the country and feeling of patriotism … How to explain it? What does mother love her child for? And  what do we love mother for? Love my country  because I, my mother and me father, my brother, my grandmother and granfather  were born here. There is a native language which I heard when I was young.  And invisible ties connect me with my Birthplace. The birthplace is a place where every corner reminds you of something. Each person has his own homeland.

Hello! I’m Vlad. My surname is Yarikov. I’m ten. I would like to tell you about my birthplace because I like it very much. It is Murom. My town is situated in Vladimir region on the Oka river. Murom is a small town with green parks, beautiful gardens and old churches. My town is ancient, it is 1150 years old! But there are many modern houses, cafes and shops next to the old buildings. It is very beautiful! That is why a lot of tourists come in my town every year. They like my town too.

    I am who I am. My own world is unique and it consists of some main things that are inalienable part of my life. First of all, it is my family, which always loves me and shares with me my emotions, my victories and defeats, my experiences and my joys. Of course, the main part of my life is my friends. Another inalienable part of my life is my hobbies. They are: music, art, painting, dancing, reading books and watching films. Also I can’t imagine my life without my school and my schoolmates to whom I have been familiar since my 7 years. What does a birthplace mean for every person?

A birthplace means the land on which a person grew up. He or she was born on this land. Such people help to take care of their own land. These people are tied to the land on which they grew up. These people are proud of the history of their birthplace. The history of my home town is very interesting. Alexandrovskaya Sloboda got the official status of a town in 1778.

The first mention of the town dates back to the 15 century.Alexandrovskaya Sloboda

(the former name of the settlement) acted as the capital of Russia for 17 years (1564-1581) under Tsar Ivan the Terrible.

               We   all   have   the   things   we   can't   live   without.  

They   are   our  parents,   our   families,   our   motherland   and   the  

place   we   were   born.                                                                         

               But   everybody   has   the  place   where   he   feels   at  

ease,   the   place   where    he   is   happy.   Some   people   like   big   

busy   cities,   some   people   prefer   to   live   in   the   country.  

Some   people   like   to   be   among  people,   some   people   prefer  

quiet   life.  

If you ask different people about their birthplace, some of them will tell you about their native town or city, others will be proud of their country. It depends upon the meaning a person invests in this word.
